Father Abraham Fischer OSB has been associated with the KLOSTERLAND association for many years. Back in 2014, he was part of our first exchange between the monastery and the world, he accompanied one of the student projects at the university in Hildesheim as an expert, sat on the expert jury for our CraftBeer and was appointed to the advisory board by the members in 2020. Since then, he has been writing very personal articles about his life as a monk for the association and was available for Martin Erdmann and Lara Buschmann to talk to in the podcast.<\/p>\n

Multi-talented Father Abraham Fischer is not only a monk and priest, but also a master blacksmith and head of the monastery forge. Many works of art made of metal such as grave signs, crosses and church furnishings are based on his designs. He was prior and economist of the monastery, head of the caretaker\u2019s office. As a gifted organist, he was significantly involved in the planning of the new abbey organ.
