[vc_row][vc_column width=\u201d1\/2\u2033][vc_column_text]Finanziell unterst\u00fctzt durch die Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank<\/a> konnte sich die kleine Runde aus Ordensleuten und Klosterverwaltern, Touristikern und Kulturmanagern sowie Historikern, Landschaftsarchitekten und Denkmalpflegern intensiv ihren Fragen rund um das Thema Klosterg\u00e4rten widmen und gemeinsam dar\u00fcber nachdenken, wie ein zeitgem\u00e4\u00dfer Klostergarten aussieht, was ihn ausmacht und welche Funktion er hat.<\/p>\n

With its three representative gardens \u2013 the orangery with a herbary, built in 1775, the Saalgarten<\/em> and the baroque abbey garden \u2013 and the extensive renovation project of the abbey garden, Bronnbach Abbey<\/a> offered more than just the right atmosphere. Below the vineyard wall, the participants were able to erect and plant a \u2018lawn bench\u2019 according to Albertus Magnus, a co-project with and prepared by the landscape architects responsible for the renovation, Johann Senner, and the monument preservation department. The famous Dominican friar and theologian of the founding period described this bench in the 12th century as follows:[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u201d1\/2\u2033][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

\u00bb The lawn bench is \u2018an elevated piece of lawn, half of which is to appear graceful and full of flowers, whereas the other half is to be arranged as a seat\u2019, all for the \u2018revival of the senses\u2019 and for the \u2018cosy repose\u2019 of people visiting the garden. \u00ab<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From now on, the lawn bench will invite visitors at Bronnbach Abbey to have a rest in the garden at any time and, in the future, it will also be found in other member monasteries.<\/p>\n

After the workshop, the participants went on an excursion to Oberzell Monastery<\/a>, where they were given a guided tour of the herb garden by the research group \u2018monastic medicine\u2019<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_section full_width=\u201dstretch_row\u201d css=\u201d.vc_custom_1584978673907{margin-top: 30px !important;margin-bottom: 30px !important;background-color: #efefef !important;}\u201d][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
